It's all about Baby Steps

Today I tried to do a few exercises and finally I could actually do some. Before I got sick I was working out 5-6 days a week, weight lifting, cardio etc but as my symptoms got worse I couldn't do anything. I had no strength and couldn't hold on to a weight to save my life. My balance was terrible and I terrified to try anything. I haven't seen the inside of gym since July of 2017. Yet today, I could hold a plank for 30 seconds, was able to do about 10 squats and a bit of light weight lifting, albeit very slowly. It's the little things that mean the most. I know that daily it can be two steps forward and ten back but I have to keep moving forward. I will try to do some exercises tomorrow, I miss the way I looked when I was working out every day.

This disease/disorder has made me look at things differently for sure, and it's taken a lot away from me, but if I can put some things back little by little I will.

It's not an end but a beginning. As the picture says "I'm ready for a new chapter in my life".
